Summer Day Camp
at the Glenbrook Community
Center
 It
is our goal to:
Provide a atmosphere where the children feel important,
feel free to express themselves, and really enjoy the Summer is our main
concern.
Projects and events are aimed at enhancing pride and respect in oneself,
other campers and the staff.
Summer Day Camp at the Glenbrook Community
Center is offered for children going into Kindergarten through 6th grade.
The program is open from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., with extended hours
available from 8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
 Each
week is filled with a variety of trips and activities, we are Activities
for Kids after all! Our trips include Squantz Pond, Sherwood Island,
Playland, and biweekly trips to Cove Island Beach.
We also have Arts and Crafts Mondays... gimp
anyone? And for our athletes, we have Wiffle Ball, Street Hockey,
Football, Soccer, Kickball and Volleyball.
 But
wait, there’s more. Are you ready for Cookout Fridays?! Grab your
sneakers... Fridays are all about great food and great times. We have
races, obstacle courses, Karaoke, and ribbons for our participants.
Don’t forget your bathing suits... on hot
days our playgrounds are filled with sprinklers and water play.
We also provide a half day program for
children attending summer school. Those hours are 1:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.,
Tutoring is available at our location, for those children who are
recommended for summer school, but wish to attend a full day of summer
camp.
